Effective Date: September 13, 2026
Last Updated: September 13, 2026
This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to purchases made from Be Empowered Consulting, LLC (“Be Empowered Consulting,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including consulting services, strategy sessions, intensives, workshops, speaking engagements, recurring services, digital resources, events, and other paid offerings unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
By purchasing a product or service from Be Empowered Consulting, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy.
1. General Policy
Because many Be Empowered Consulting services involve reserved professional time, preparation, customized strategy, business analysis, intellectual property, and implementation capacity, payments are generally non-refundable once work has begun or reserved delivery capacity has been committed.
We understand that circumstances change. Where appropriate, we may allow rescheduling, credits, or cancellation under the terms below.
Any refund or credit not expressly required by law is issued at the discretion of Be Empowered Consulting and does not create an obligation to provide the same accommodation in another situation.
2. Separate Client Agreements
Certain consulting engagements may be governed by a separate:
Proposal
Statement of work
Consulting agreement
Master services agreement
Engagement letter
Order form
Invoice terms
Speaking or workshop agreement
If a separate signed agreement contains cancellation, termination, refund, or payment provisions that differ from this policy, the terms of the signed agreement will control for that engagement.
3. Flow Strategy Session
Flow Strategy Sessions are 90-minute paid executive working sessions that require advance scheduling and preparation.
Rescheduling
You may request to reschedule a Flow Strategy Session by providing at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled session.
One reschedule may be permitted without an additional fee, subject to availability.
Additional rescheduling requests may require a new booking or rescheduling fee.
Cancellations
If you cancel at least 72 hours before the scheduled session, you may request either:
A reschedule; or
A refund of the session fee, less any non-refundable payment-processing fees or work already completed specifically for your session, where applicable
Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice are generally non-refundable because the time has been reserved and preparation may already have occurred.
No-Shows
Failure to attend a scheduled Flow Strategy Session without prior notice is treated as a completed reservation and is non-refundable.
4. Flow Day
Flow Day is a private, high-touch working intensive that may include preparation, pre-session review, a dedicated six-hour working session, and post-session follow-up.
Because a significant block of consulting time is reserved specifically for the client:
Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule should be made at least 7 calendar days before the scheduled Flow Day.
One reschedule may be permitted, subject to availability.
Cancellations
Cancellations made 14 or more calendar days before the scheduled Flow Day may be eligible for a partial refund, less:
Work already completed
Preparation already performed
Non-recoverable expenses
Any payment-processing costs that cannot be recovered
Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the scheduled Flow Day are generally non-refundable.
No-Shows
Failure to attend a scheduled Flow Day without prior notice results in forfeiture of the payment.
5. Flow Focus, Flow Connect, and Flow Build
These services involve customized business-systems work and may include diagnosis, architecture, workflow design, implementation, configuration, automation, integration, documentation, training, and related consulting.
Because work is customized and delivery capacity is reserved:
Before Work Begins
If you request cancellation before substantive work begins, we may review the request and determine whether a refund or credit is appropriate.
Any refund may be reduced by:
Work already performed
Discovery or preparation completed
Third-party costs incurred
Software or platform expenses incurred on your behalf
Non-refundable transaction costs
After Work Begins
Once substantive work has begun, payments already made are generally non-refundable.
If an engagement is terminated early, the client remains responsible for payment for:
Work completed
Time and resources committed
Approved third-party expenses
Milestones already reached
Other amounts due under the applicable agreement
Specific termination provisions in a signed consulting agreement will control where applicable.
6. Deposits and Milestone Payments
Certain engagements may require a deposit or milestone-based payment schedule.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing:
Deposits reserve delivery capacity and are generally non-refundable once the engagement has been scheduled and preparation has begun
Milestone payments become non-refundable once the associated phase of work begins
Failure to make required payments may result in suspension or termination of services
Any custom payment arrangement will be documented in the applicable proposal, invoice, or client agreement.
7. Flow Continuity
Flow Continuity is an ongoing consulting and optimization service that may be billed monthly or according to another recurring schedule.
Cancellation
Unless a separate agreement provides otherwise, cancellation requires 30 days’ written notice.
Cancellation requests should be sent to:
If the service is subject to a minimum commitment period, cancellation before the end of that commitment may remain subject to the payment terms in the applicable agreement.
Recurring Charges
Recurring charges that have already been processed are generally non-refundable once the applicable service period begins.
Services remain active through the period already paid for unless otherwise agreed.
We aim to make recurring-service terms clear before purchase and cancellation reasonably accessible. Federal consumer-protection guidance emphasizes clear disclosure of recurring charges and a straightforward cancellation process.
8. Workshops and Private Team Sessions
Workshops require preparation, content customization, and reserved delivery capacity.
Unless a separate workshop agreement states otherwise:
Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule should be made at least 14 calendar days before the scheduled workshop.
Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Cancellation
Cancellations made:
30 or more days before the event: may be eligible for a partial refund after deduction of preparation, customization, non-refundable expenses, and work already completed
15–29 days before the event: generally eligible for a credit toward a future workshop rather than a cash refund
14 days or fewer before the event: generally non-refundable
Travel or third-party costs already incurred are non-refundable unless recoverable from the applicable vendor.
9. Keynotes and Speaking Engagements
Keynotes and speaking engagements are normally governed by a separate speaking agreement.
That agreement may address:
Deposits
Final payment
Cancellation
Rescheduling
Travel
Force majeure
Recording
Intellectual property
Event changes
The signed speaking agreement will control if its terms differ from this policy.
10. Events and The Flow Sessions
Complimentary Events
No refund applies to complimentary events.
If you cannot attend, you may register for a future session when available.
Paid Events
For paid public events, workshops, or training sessions, the specific registration page may state the applicable refund or transfer policy.
If no separate terms are provided, requests should be made at least 7 calendar days before the event.
After that point, registration fees are generally non-refundable, although we may permit transfer to another eligible participant or credit toward a future event at our discretion.
11. Digital Products, Templates, and Downloadable Resources
Due to the immediate-access nature of digital products, downloadable resources, templates, recordings, and similar digital materials, purchases are generally final and non-refundable once access has been provided or the file has been delivered, except where required by law.
If you experience a technical problem accessing a purchased digital product, contact us so we can help resolve the issue.
12. Courses or Educational Programs
If Be Empowered Consulting offers a paid course, cohort, training program, or educational product, the applicable sales or registration page may include specific refund terms.
Those terms will control for that offering.
If no separate terms are provided, access to digital course materials generally becomes non-refundable once access has been granted, subject to applicable law.
13. Third-Party Fees and Expenses
Certain engagements may involve expenses paid to third parties, including:
Software
Technology subscriptions
Licensing
Travel
Venue costs
Contractors
Vendors
Payment processors
Other project-related expenses
Amounts already paid to third parties may be non-refundable if the third-party provider does not refund them.
Where applicable, such expenses will be disclosed or approved as part of the engagement.
14. Client Delays
Consulting engagements often depend on timely client participation, including:
Access to systems
Feedback
Decisions
Documentation
Stakeholder participation
Testing
Approvals
If the client materially delays an engagement, we may need to adjust the timeline, pause the work, or reschedule delivery.
Extended delays may require a restart fee, updated scope, or revised scheduling depending on the circumstances and the applicable client agreement.
Payments are not automatically refundable because of client-caused delays.
15. Be Empowered Consulting Cancellations
If Be Empowered Consulting cancels a paid service and cannot provide a reasonable alternative date or substitute arrangement, we will generally offer one of the following, as appropriate:
Rescheduling
Credit toward another service
Refund of the amount paid for the portion of the service we are unable to provide
This does not apply where service cannot proceed because of the client’s breach, failure to provide required information, nonpayment, or other circumstances attributable to the client.
16. Force Majeure
Neither party will be responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events reasonably outside their control, subject to the terms of any applicable signed agreement.
Examples may include:
Severe weather
Natural disasters
Widespread technology outages
Government actions
Public emergencies
Serious illness or incapacity
Transportation disruption
Other events beyond reasonable control
Where possible, we will work in good faith to reschedule affected services.
17. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method when feasible.
Processing times depend on the payment provider, banking institution, and method of payment.
Be Empowered Consulting does not control how quickly a financial institution posts an approved refund.
18. How to Request a Cancellation, Reschedule, or Refund
All requests should be submitted in writing to:
Please include:
Your name
Company name, if applicable
Service or product purchased
Scheduled date, if applicable
Order, invoice, or transaction information if available
Whether you are requesting cancellation, rescheduling, credit, or refund
Any relevant details regarding your request
We will review the request and respond as reasonably practicable.
Where applicable law provides a specific cancellation right, that legal right will apply regardless of this policy.
Indiana’s Attorney General notes that most sales are considered final unless the merchant’s policy or a specific law gives the buyer a right to cancel, with certain transactions subject to statutory cancellation periods.
19. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge was made incorrectly, please contact us first at:
We want the opportunity to investigate and resolve legitimate billing concerns.
Initiating a chargeback does not automatically cancel an existing contractual obligation or eliminate amounts properly due under a signed agreement.
Nothing in this section limits rights available to you under applicable law or payment-card rules.
20. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:
Our services
Pricing or payment structures
Business practices
Legal requirements
Platform or payment-provider requirements
When this policy is updated, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of the page.
The policy in effect at the time of purchase generally applies unless a separate agreement provides otherwise.
